Thirteen Emerging Christian Leaders from Across Globe Trained in Cambridge-Based Programme

The Rose Castle Foundation collaborated with the Cambridge Centre for Christianity Worldwide (CCCW) to welcome 13 emerging Christian leaders from across the world to Cambridge to discuss grief, resilience and hope amid the pandemic this July.

The program offered talks from prominent academics, including Prof. Charlotte Summers (Cambridge), and several seminars about reconciliation led by the Rose Castle Foundation.

These seminars explored the 12 Habits of a Reconciler, looking in depth at how participants interact with these habits, and how they can be used to build peace in their faith contexts.

The program offered a unique opportunity for intra-faith collaboration and relationship building, with several dinners hosted at the Margaret Beaufort Institute for Theology gardens, as well as a drinks reception at the Divinity Faculty. The participants also looked at a special collection at the University Library, toured King’s College chapel and participated in worship at Pembroke and St John’s Colleges.

While the program took place in English, there was also simultaneous translation into Portuguese, offering greater inclusivity beyond the English-speaking world. This diversity was further reflected in the majority of participants coming from the Global South.

RCF has a close relationship with CCCW and the two organisations will continue working together to equip faith-formed leaders from across the globe with the tools and habits of reconciliation.
