Places are available for participants from North America and the UK and Ireland for this year's ‘Journey of Hope’, a 6-month immersive leadership training programme which equips and supports faith leaders to creatively and courageously respond to conflict, cultivating a more relational and resilient society.
‘Journey of Hope’ is delivered by Reconcilers Together, a partnership of peacemakers across the UK & Ireland rooted in the Christian faith. As well as the Rose Castle Foundation, it includes:
Starting on 4th March, this year's Journey will include a residential in Cumbria, hosted by the Rose Castle Foundation, seeking understanding of the nature of intra- and inter-faith hostility, and moving towards hospitality.
The first cohort, trained in 2019, and the second, trained in 2021, are working to address issues of community polarization such as inter-faith relations, youth violence, and systemic racism.
A group of these participants recently attended a regional gathering at the Rose Castle Foundation office.
Hannah Larn, programme coordinator, shared that the participants has "a really inspiring, motivating day together", engaging with one another, sharing updates, and supporting each other in future projects.
