Learning & Sharing with Heartlines South Africa

This November we were invited to South Africa to join Heartlines; a like-minded centre for values promotion, working to support people to live out their faith values across divides.

We learned about their inspiring ‘What’s Your Story’ programme, which supports leaders in divided communities to practice curiosity and vulnerability, listening to each other’s stories in order to appreciate their differences. We also shared elements of the Rose Way pedagogy, including the Habits of a Reconciler, with their programme facilitators.

This trip was also an opportunity to engage with the context in South Africa, and to recognise how far the country has come since the end of apartheid, but also to see which challenges still lie ahead.

In 2025 we are pleased to be partnering with Heartlines in South Africa and at Rose Castle, as we continue to collaborate around one another’s toolkits and approach.
